Process

Sixpasses.

Every floor moves through the same considered sequence. It's how we protect the finish — and how we sleep at night.

Step 01: Assess
Step 01
01

Assess

Site visit. Slab test — moisture, hardness, cracks, joints, contaminants. Nothing gets quoted from a photo.

Step 02: Grind
Step 02
02

Grind

First pass with metal-bond diamonds to open the slab, remove coatings and expose aggregate to the chosen depth.

Step 03: Fill & repair
Step 03
03

Fill & repair

Cracks chased and filled with a colour-matched epoxy. Joints hardened with a semi-rigid fill so the finish reads clean.

Step 04: Hone
Step 04
04

Hone

Progressive resin-bond passes: 50, 100, 200, 400 grit. The floor is smoothed, refined, made ready to accept a polish.

Step 05: Polish
Step 05
05

Polish

800, 1500, 3000 grit. The slab starts to reflect. Sheen level is set here — matte, satin, high-gloss.

Step 06: Densify & seal
Step 06
06

Densify & seal

Lithium silicate reacts inside the surface, followed by a penetrating stain-blocker. The floor is hardened for life.

Questions

Frequentlyasked.

The things clients ask us most, before they book a site visit.

How long does a polished concrete floor take to install?
+
Most residential jobs run several days on site, depending on square metres, aggregate exposure and slab condition. Grind & seal is faster than a full mechanical polish. We give you an exact timeline after a site visit.
Can you polish an existing slab?
+
Yes — that's most of what we do. Any slab that's structurally sound and reasonably level can be ground back. We'll test moisture and hardness during the quote.
Is polished concrete slippery when wet?
+
Densified polished concrete has a similar slip rating to honed stone — safe for indoor residential use. For wet areas or commercial spaces we can apply a slip-additive topcoat.
How much does polished concrete cost?
+
Every floor is different — square metres, slab condition, aggregate exposure and finish level all move the number. We quote after a site visit so the price you see is the price you pay.
Do you service all of the Sunshine Coast?
+
Yes — Noosa to Caloundra, Maroochydore, Buderim, Mooloolaba, the hinterland, and everywhere between. Larger commercial jobs, we travel further.
How experienced is the team?
+
Based on the Sunshine Coast and open seven days a week. Concrete polishing, grinding and epoxy coatings are all we do.
